I’m CodyAnn: all day everyday I’m a mother of 2, a lipstick enthusiast & a recovering diet coke addict. I educate and encourage Mothers who are ready to prioritize their own mental wellness.
I’m a middle mom: not a brand new mom, and not an empty nester. Think: sports practices, homework assignments and those dreaded spirit weeks. Does that sound like you? In the midst of this: I know we all want to prioritize our own mental health. And all of us, as mothers, rank our own mental health at the top of the list…our whole family is going to be healthier.
Do you feel like your own mental health has room for improvement? Maybe you’re on a journey to mental wellness. This might mean you’re in therapy, maybe taking psychiatric meds, meditating daily or perhaps even considering one of those. I strive to serve other middle mamas: mainly through education and establishing a community of like minded women.
If you want to know factual, evidence based info on mental health….look no further. I’m not into Woo-Woo or quack science. Sorry, the internet is full of those pages. Of course I share my own opinions but I’ll be sure to call them out by name.
Backstory – I am a mental health pro…but in 2016 I actually took a leave of absence from Grad School to work on my own mental health (which was in shambles, FTR, think dumpster fire.) Professionally & Personally: I can honestly say I believe in the transformation from surviving with mental illness to thriving with mental wellness.
In my professional life I was a Correctional Social Worker, then left Social Work to pursue Medicine. After PA school I knew I had to get back to mental health! I started working as a Psychiatric PA in September 2019 & haven’t looked back! I’m passionate about Women’s Psychiatry, Maternal Mental Health and how a Healthy Mama can lead to a Healthy Family.
When I’m not busy with Psychpac…you can find me doing one of two things: baking OR fixing up “The Estate” (Our 1907 House!). Often you can find me posted up in my kitchen, listening to podcasts. I’m guaranteed to have my apron on, making sweet treats, cookies and candy. I bake a lot, my love language is sharing desserts! And as for my home decor: I’m a sucker for toile and Grandmillenial goodness.
